Hey man could I tag along for the trip? I was actually looking for someone to to on the NRG with because I can't make it out for the trip
over labor day. Are you guys going up Friday night and just paddling sat or day trip or doing whole weekend? I live in VB so if it would be possible to carpool thatd be awesome! If not I'll meet you guys out there. I have never paddled it so wanted to make sure you'd be ok with me going along. I'm really comfortable on the lower yough and I'v paddled with people who have gone on the NRG and said I'll be fine. Anyway let me know! My email is jtpasq@gmail.com or just hit me up on here. Thanks!

Joseph - sorry about the radio silence. Not trying to be rude, just really busy and sleepy with a newborn ... not an excuse but an explanation.

In any event, I am already in the vicinity of NRG so I couldn't share a shuttle with you. Also, while I don't mind helping out a newbie I have only run the Gorge myself 7 or 8 times and none this season so I am a little leery of you relying on me for the lines.

I have posted something on message board of wvwa.net, trying to find folks to go with me. If I find a big group of friendly experienced folks who don't mind taking a newbie under wing I will post or pm you with the 411.

Wish I could be more helpful but that's all I know now.

P.S. if you have the flexibility to go in 2 weeks you should consider joining the New River Rendevous group. They are excellent at sheparding boaters of appropriate skill levels down the NRG.
