Creeking Clinics *DATES ADDED*

That's right, it's finally here:
Got boof?
Inspired by Wallace’s triumphant Tellico runs and as a benefit of Coastals membership, I will teach two creeking clinics this fall. The dates of these one day clinics are 9/6/09, 9/8/09, 10/3/09, 10/31/09, 11/1/09. Each class is open to two students and the cost is $60 a student ($65 non-ACA member). They will be on the Lower Yough.
Topics Covered:
* Boofing
* Smearing
* Stroke efficiency
* The differences between paddling a creek boat and a play boat
* Surfing out of holes
* Boat scouting
* Risk management
Requirements:
* You must have paid your Club dues for 2010.
* You must be comfortable on the Lower Yough. It’s important that you be able to focus on skills and technique more so then surviving the river.
* Some semblance of a creek boat. (An RPM is not a creek boat Mike.) When the Webster Springs creeking trip comes around in the spring, I often get emails something like “I’ve got a creek boat but haven’t paddled it much and feel a lot more comfortable in my play boat. Which should I bring?” One of my goals in this class is to get you as comfy in your creeker as you are in your little boat. (Or at least get you started down that path.) YOu've gotta be in your creeker to do this.
Do I know what I’m talking about? Well, sometimes… maybe. I offer this thread as my resume:

To register for the class, email me at dave (dot) kessmann (at) fgwa (period) com.
I’ve been marinating on this for a while and think I have a few good things cooked up.
:evil: I’m looking forward to it and hope you decide to come.
Thanks.
