I will be coordinating the Upper New trip on Saturday. My 9 year old Killian will be kayaking it as well as my wife and 8-year old daughter in a double ducky. The river is a class II run with a few hefty pools. The run ends with a no consequence Class III radid called "Surprise" If you are wondering if you skills are good enough then you should be fine, please come out we will have a ball. Do not let "surprise" keep you from coming out to enjoy the trip. Surprise can be portaged easily enough and we will scout it.

As far as specific logistists forget it. We will eat breakfast and then get at it on Saturday morning. If anyone has any specific needs as far as meeting up let me know and we will adjust as we can.

Thanks for posting the trip.

You're staying at the same campground as this trip, right:

This trip needs to be well attended so I don't have to worry about shuttle at the end of the day.

Not that we do't need the shuttle drivers, but since you have a raft, why not go down the low water George?

I didn't get any response for my proposed Thurmond to Cunard run on Sunday.
So I would like to join your trip and bring one beginner along with me.
We are staying at Gauley Fest, we can meet at your camp site or the entrance to the camp ground, if they won't let us in.
