I am interested. What is the Upper like at 14+ compared with 10.7? It looks like a whole lot more volume...is there any play left or it is just a raging mess?

Oh it gonna be a mess, I want to get a run in on Saturday morning.. Definitely hitting up z dam for a While..... 11 am works, but could meet a little earlier to play on that beautiful wave for an hour or more, I might just decide to stay there all day.... who knows?? haha JK, i will make the run down with the group, so how many do we have so far that are confirmed?
It is of utmost importance to stay in you boat, at aprox 65000 cfs it promises to be a looooong swim, so Everyone please bring your A game!!

What's the situation at Z dam for play at this flow? On Wednesday at 10.7' there was a wave with no eddy at Pony and we just headed downstream.
If there's something poppin' at Z dam with decent eddies I'm tempted to make the drive just for park and play.

I am hoping for the perfect wave at Z dam..... It was pretty nice at 12-13, but heard stories and have seen pics and videos of somthing great at higher levels... we will see...

Decent Eddies are washed away at this level... you gotta catch most everything on the fly, and when you get flushed at z dam you gotta carry back up, but it is worth it

No pics or video, but Mike Elsea and I (and a couple of other boaters) paddled down Riverside Dr. around 1996 and surfed a BIG green wave at "Z" Dam. We then paddled down and through the Pony Pasture trail and the Willow Oaks CC golf course. So, the level was at least 20 feet.
The whirlpool at the RR trestle deserved its reputation that day.
