UJ Tues, 11/3

Post by MichaelME »

Looking like 10ish, small pod forming with LJ run or PP play with shuttle options. Some younger folks off, bad candy for the older?
water is up a bit, if chances are better then average, honor system, you'll stay with your gear, no cotton, let someone know, come on out and show us they way.

I know what you mean. Since I actually like Dave Matthews, I'll try to translate...

"There's a loose plan to paddle tomorrow. UJ, LJ, or park and play at Pony Pasture. Final plan will depend on river levels and who is paddling."

I hope that helps. For my part I'm planning to paddle too. I may run the whole thing if MichaelME is game.

I hate to ask, but could you translate this response into Michaelese:

"I would love to join for some play at PP, but it is uncertain due to my work schedule. Let me know what time you are meeting tomorrow and I will make my best effort to be there."

I'm forecasting 7.5'ish, which means I'm re-scheduling all my Tuesday meetings for Wednesday. I'm down for playing at PP, playing the UJ and running the LJ. See you at 14th St @ 10am???

BTW, Michael, I'm thinking that it's time to see a Dr. about all that confusion in your head
Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke

Primary goal is to paddle the Upper James. Plan is to meet a a group of reasonably experienced (no Hendrix undertone) group at 14th st Take out, determine which Auto's to leave at 14th and Reedy.
Several may want to paddle the Upper and get out at Reedy, continue down the LJ, or return to Pony Pasture for some play. 7-8' is a pretty sweet level at PP.

if you, and your potential rescuers, are comfortable with the conditions, dress appropriately and please join us. If your uncertain, drop me an email.

Candy reference was a potential excuse to get out of domestic duties for the older kids not on holiday from school.

Wow, didn't consider anyone pondering on DM. I'd completely understand a reference to early 80's REM, but Dave Mathews, DAVE MATHEWS!! open your mouth and run a bunch of vowel sounds together, heavily weighted with eeeee's and oooooo's and your golden.

Erin,

We're meeting at 14th St @ 10am. Some are running the Upper only, some Upper & Lower, some Upper and then Pony to play. Who's who will be determined at 14th St before we set shuttle.

Looks like I cannot make 10 am group. Hoping against hope, I will probably take my boat on car and see if I can get up to PP for some afternoon play time.

Hey,

I think Guy is trying to work until noon and then hit the river, I may wait on him. If I'm not there at 10 don't wait on me, either way it looks like a beautiful day for boating!

I will be at the take out around 1pm.
Envelope – Free stationary taken from the Marriott while on a business trip.
Snowflake address label – sent to me free and had to be used up.
Stained glass stamp – It was more then three feet away from me when I decided to get them so you know I didn’t see them clearly
Butterfly and Sunflower stickers on the back – Also free and required because the glue on the envelope was so old it no longer stuck.
