Webster Springs
I swam. A lot. But I still say I'm getting better at this OC1 business. Those of us who were brave enough to make the trip saw that it did rain Friday, but not hard and not long. So we saddled up and headed for the Upper section of the Meadow. Lots of eddy hopping and ledge dropping. Most of my trouble came from not looking far enough ahead. Oops! That eddy's already full - or Oops who put that rock right at the lip of this drop!? No harm no foul. Kessmann is right on the money about 450 cfs being a minimum boat-able level. You certainly wouldn't want to try the paddle out with any less. I've kayaked that section at higher flows and not had as much fun as I did open boating. Thanks to all of you for collecting my stuff when I needed it. Parking lot potluck with the boating bourgeoisie was a real treat. It's always fun to see the other guests of the inn gawking at the buffet we put out. We always offer, but seldom have any takers join us. Waiting for the next opportunity. See yous then!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!
No problem. It was great to have 15 folks come out on the trip. I heard the Maury was good on Sunday on the way home.Mango wrote:Thanks KessmanN for Coordinating and taking pictures!

A big thanks to KessmanN for putting this together and to all of the drivers, cooks, and clean-up crew for a great weekend!
Envelope – Free stationary taken from the Marriott while on a business trip.
Snowflake address label – sent to me free and had to be used up.
Stained glass stamp – It was more then three feet away from me when I decided to get them so you know I didn’t see them clearly
Butterfly and Sunflower stickers on the back – Also free and required because the glue on the envelope was so old it no longer stuck.
