I'm curious about that section of the Roanoke river. What's the difficulty level of the river? I live way upstream in Clarksville and have always wondered about the rapids in Roanoke Rapids.

We have decided to just fish that area on the New River rather than paddle with the group so we will not be joining the group for either day. I'm gonna attempt fly fishing for smallies around the baker island. Yall have a good time.

She is due several months from now, but the doctor insisted she not do any intensive workouts or activities. Our first, therefore all this great stuff is new to both of us.

I am in need of a paddle buddy because the doctor told my pregnant wife she should not paddle until the baby is due. We normally paddle the section from Long Island to Brookneal on the Staunton and sometimes balcony falls section on the James. Anyone interested or have any advice?
