Paul, Yesterday I went and scouted out the Shenandoah from near Luray where Rt 675 crosses, down to the end of 684. From what I can gather it will be about a 13 mile trip, all flat, and there is GWNF camping spots at the pullout. Thanks for your response. . . Another option would be the Rivanna dow...

Hate to let this one out but I highly recomend Smoke Hole in WV. great overnighter. Put in at big bend and take out at the first town you get to. Great camping all along the river (secluded) best spot is right at the bluestone mountian face.

What land issues are you all talking about? In the past I've talked with the guy that owns the land on the north side of the put-in (end of road, and trail head). He has cleared out a parking area on his side of the street about 100yds down for paddlers/fishermen to park. He allways seemed nice and ...
