if the tye keeps rising through 6am reading I will most likely be heading that way. Can't leave richmond until 9am and any drop in the tye will cancel my travel plans.

While I have long been a fan of said shortcut. I have recently found that it is only about 30 seconds faster than the more well known route. This was determined using a well orchastrated 2 car senario.
