Hi all,
Would anyone be interested in guiding a small group down? We are a group of three class 3 boaters but we are new to the James. We would feel more comfortable with a guide and would really appeciate some help with the lines.
I spoke with David Bernard about the river and he offered to help out but is not available this weekend. He recommended that I post here.

Lower James - Sat. Morning

We usually paddle a couple laps on the Lower James on Saturday mornings. Lately, there's been a few loonies doing 0530, 0730 & 0930 (myself included). This weekend, I'm planning on only the 0730 and 0930 runs. I'd be glad to show you the way down if either of those suit your travel schedule.

Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke

By the time I get on the water, I'll have started paddling too. So, what are you sayin' - you're going earlier? We're doing the 0730 to allow the psycho 0530 kids to make the 2nd run w/ us.
