Wanted: Forks of the Hardware Flow beta

Post by etharris »

I am thinking about a late afternoon run tommarrow (thursday) on the forks of the hardware. I have never done them and was wondering if anyone familiar with the runs would know what the level will be like tommarow afternoon? Rigght now, the USGS gauge is reading 3000.

Thanks,
Ethan

Darn, can't get out tommarrow. Boyfriend duties are calling:) Oh well, I had a great run on the upper piney this afternoon.

I'm hoping that the hardware forks will be running on friday. From searching the net, it looks like 1000 is a good minimum flow.

Ethan,
A boater of your caliber would want mucho aqua in the H-ware. Harris and I did the N Fk at big, muddy, floody stage and it was still fine. This was before the USGS gauge was online so I don't know what the cfs was.

I'm referring to the short sections of the best WW on the forks.

Talk to Harris if you want more beta.

Usually catch em immediately after the rain. They drop fast.

It's no Nelson County of course.
