directions?

Post by Dan P »

Does anyone know the name or number of that road you turn off of 522 just north of Winchester? And do I follow that road all the way to Cumberland and then get on 68? I don't want to go all the way to Berkley Springs. Amy P.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!

I'll bring burgers and dogs to grill, Sejal's thinking about a soup of some kind (to be determined later).

Anybody else? :?: :D :?:

If KessmanN doesn't have any objections
Then I'd say it's a plan! :D

I plan on bringing a pork tenderloin to grill with salad, perhaps even some sweet potatos.
I'm still looking for paddlers to run the loop on Friday afternoon- any takers?

I’m glad you guys are going to stay at my place. It should be a good time as always.

Pot luck sounds great.

Boater relations in town are still (and probably will be forever) strained. There’s not a lot we can do to make things better but there are plenty of things we can do to make them worse. A few ways to be a part of the solution if you’re staying at the Triple K:

* If you’re sleeping in your car, you must be parked in the driveway
* You can only park in front of my property along the street by the river or in the driveway. If all of the spots are taken, please park on Maple St.
* Please leave a parking spot for my tenant.
* If you’re sleeping in your tent, please set it up in the back yard behind the house so as to have minimal impact on the neighbor’s view shed.
* Please use one of the bathrooms inside the house.
* Be extra nice to everyone you see in town.
* Try to have a minimal impact on the traffic on Water St.
* In general, anything you can do to make it look like less of a gypsy camp is good (:D) and anything you do to make it look like more of a gypsy camp is bad. ()

If you see someone not doing what I’ve asked, realize that it has an impact on access for the Upper Yough. Feel free to explain the situation to them and ask them to act responsibly.

Glad you guys are coming. There is always plenty of room. I hope I haven't scared anyone off with these few requests because I really am looking forward to it.

Thanks.

After some consultation, we are planning on meeting at 10am on Sunday also (same as Saturday). Figuring warmer as opposed to getting away sooner.

Just don't step in te water, you'll get $125 ticket!!

For real
Envelope – Free stationary taken from the Marriott while on a business trip.
Snowflake address label – sent to me free and had to be used up.
Stained glass stamp – It was more then three feet away from me when I decided to get them so you know I didn’t see them clearly
Butterfly and Sunflower stickers on the back – Also free and required because the glue on the envelope was so old it no longer stuck.
