Balcony Sunday...(or possibly LJ)

Post by MvillePaddle »

...if the water levels hold? I'm open to any putin time. It is forecasted to be in the mid 50s and sunny in the afternoon.

Justin,
I would be down to run balcony Sunday. My car is out of commission so I can't help with shuttle right now... But if you got room for another I have gas money. I'm over by Montgomery Hall park in Staunton if that means anything. I think you should have my number if not send me a pm on here. I'll try to rally some folks but it's kind of unlikely I'll be able to find anyone else for this weekend. Most of my friends are warm weather paddlers.

that sounds like a plan. I live across town from you by gypsy hill. hopefully we can get a few more out. tell your friends that 54 degrees is still warm water paddling.

I would love to join you guys. I have a truck that could be used but no license to operate it with. I am in cville so if anybody is coming from this end please let me know and hopefully we can work something out.

I would be down to join you guys tomorrow. Also coming from C'Ville. I'm new to the area so it would be my first run down Balcony Falls. What time are y'all thinking of putting in?

Its starting to look like its turning into a trip down to richmond. Not sure yet though. I'll post when I know if we are going to balcony or richmond.

yes, plans may be changing. Balcony is losing water, and LJ is slowly rising. I'll post updates as soon as I know.

Ok Sunday's "plan": Balcony run, water should be just under 3 feet, good for most paddlers.

Meet at the put-in at 11, set shuttle, and be on the river around noon. temps should be upper 40's when we get on, high right around 50, but sunshine all day long.

Come one come all, tell your friends, etc. This may be one of the last fair weather runs of the season...
