James River (Pony Pasture to 14th St) -- Sat, Sept 14

Post by Jenny »

I will be coming to Richmond on Sept 14 to share my home river (the James) with some folks from NC -- pfd for some. We will be meeting at 11 am at the 14th St take-out. We will shuttle to Pony Pasture, leaving vehicle(s) at Reedy Creek for those who want to take out there. All are welcome, but please let me know if you are planning to come. I'd love to see some locals. I've missed you all since moving to NC.

Also be aware that they close off 4 to 5 blocks on 43rd for the festival.

Additionally, The South of the James farmer's market happens off 42nd street from about 8 to noon. Which really clogs up the neighborhood streets.

Your best bet is to take Riverside Road/Westover and avoid the main part of the neighborhood and avoid Forest Hill too, if possible.
