Thursday afternoon update — We have enough good paddlers for a fun and safe trip. However, there is still room for more.
The Army Corps of Engineers reports: “The project is releasing 840 cfs today and plans to hold releases throughout the weekend. The Ohiopyle gage is at 4.2' and rising. Ohiopyle should stay above 3.0’ throughout the weekend.“
This is a very fun level, but probably a bit too pushy for first-timers.
The weather forecast is partly cloudy with little chance of rain. The high temperatures on Saturday are in the lower 70s and on Sunday in the lower 80s.

Looks like the Yough is going to be pretty high on Saturday. However, the Casselman has plenty of water and should be a lot of fun.
