This seems to be shaping up nicely.

Can someone bring firewood?

Also, when you get to the campground, try to squish in. It might be snug but who knows?

I'm bringing a little bit of firewood. Probably enough for one night if we keep the flames down and go to bed early.

HA!
Envelope – Free stationary taken from the Marriott while on a business trip.
Snowflake address label – sent to me free and had to be used up.
Stained glass stamp – It was more then three feet away from me when I decided to get them so you know I didn’t see them clearly
Butterfly and Sunflower stickers on the back – Also free and required because the glue on the envelope was so old it no longer stuck.

Raft on Saturday

Post by Paddle Daddy »

Did someone post something about taking down a raft on some stretch of the New Saturday? I am hard-boatin' with the NRG group but person riding with me is a novice interested in riding some whitewater - the novice is also looking for a guide to maybe do beginner whitewater kayak, but is curious if rafting with someone is a possibility. Let me know.

Can this person drive? If so, they definitely need to go on the Upper New Saturday.

we should have room in the corn raft for an extra rider. I think I have enough paddles, but am not providing PFD's or helmets...

Look for the Fattest Man Alive at the campsite and we'll coordinate then (I should be rolling in Friday evening between 7 and sometime after 7).

Depending on the size of the rider, I'll have a spare L/XL PFD and an old Pro-Tec (adult) helmet that is available as loaner gear.
Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke

Dave,

Look's like I'm dropping out of the NRG and switching to the Upper New on Saturday, not enough interest to do an Upper New on Sunday.

Don't know what I will be paddling on Sunday.

I’m running the Lower Gauley the Friday of Gauley Fest. First timers with qualified resumes are welcome but should contact me first at dave dot kessmann at fgwa (period) com. Safety boaters would be much appreciated.

Let’s figure on meeting in the parking lot of the Food Land in Gauley Bridge at noon on Friday. The Food Land is on Rt. 60 on the left just before you get to the intersection of 60 and 39 in Gauley Bridge. It is a good sized grocery store. You won’t miss it.
Fixed, for those that weren't sure
