Lower Yough - Sat/Sun Aug 6-7

Post by Paddle Daddy »

I am interested in running the Lower with 2 first timers - my daughter Lucie (17) and friend Geoffrey (14). Both experienced Lower James paddlers and Lucie has run some other stuff, but I could definitely use some help and company. Thinking of going up Saturday, maybe running the loop a few times, camping out Saturday night and running the whole section on Sunday before return to Richmond. Let me know if you'd be interested - post or PM.

Spanky and I would love to go, but we have obligations that weekend with WAS. Let us know if for any reason you end up changing dates.

Have fun and be safe!!

Will be there on Friday maybe Sunday should you like to join us. My Son is getting married on Saturday an hour away from Ohiopyle on Saturday so I can not join you then.

Richard, what time would you be looking to go on Sunday and how many of you are there?

Richard, Do your best to rescue your son! Take him paddling on Saturday and let him skip the wedding.

Lower Yough plans

Post by Paddle Daddy »

Richard, looks like we are in but 8 am is too early with my two teens in tow. I know you have a longer return drive, but if you want to push back to 10 am we won't dawdle (since we are running the loop a few times Saturday) and will have the shuttle set with you, so let me know if you can or want to move to 10 am.

That is when we are going. I have 2 experienced plus 2 first timers. Would love more company. Last I checked there were 16 more passes available for 10 am on Sunday.

Can't do, I need to be on early and leave early. See you on the river another day.

PS
Leaving early Wednesday morning heading to PA but I do plan on being on the river Thursday morning, not so early. Friday will be early and the loop only, then off to wedding rehearsal.
