I can't do Thursday. I forgot about evening plans. Friday could still work if there's rain.

I could be down for something out that way. Looks like Goshen will be working, I could be down for something like the NRG too if anyone is down to make the drive. Only have my playboat with me here in VA though, so not trying to do anything too big without any volume, haha.

If anyone heads to Goshen, let me know....maybe you could pick up my paddle for me and bring it back to RVA!!!

Hello tomcat360. Looks like you are new to Coastals. Please feel welcomed.

Judging from your avatar (looks Watauga-ish?) I'd guess you know your way around. I've been to Boone. Pretty place.

Some fellow old coots and I may paddle Goshen Pass on Friday. We'll see what the rain and the circumstances bring us. Let me know if interested.

Zero plans yet. Gauge woes on the Maury plus it's raining on I-81 and points west as I type.

Sorry to be vague but I don't know what the morning will bring.

A few of us have a loose plan hoping the Maury will be at a decent level around noon or one on Friday.

I'm kinda pre-packing up gear getting ready to roll in the morning.

I've had 1.4" rain here in Rockbridge Baths since dark, it's still raining & may continue for another couple hours. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pass gets higher than I usually like. Maybe a creek instead?

I'll do a visual check of the bridge gauge & Corner Rapid in the AM & post.

I could paddle the 27/28th.

I had 1.8" rain. 9am visual on the bridge gauge is 2'9", which nearly correlates to the current 4' USGS minus 1.2' (the normal correlation). Corner is poofy but left line ok. Kitchen looks doable tho wet for OC - Tombstone Rock is nearly covered. Of course, the river is still climbing.

Plans in the air.

Ok, due to last minute Xmas shopping by some of the male persuasion, we are skipping the Bullpasture (it is running) & doing the middle Maury - meeting @ the Rockbdg Baths P.O. betw. 1:15-1:30pm. Will put in @ Indian Pools. With the Maury still rising, we are skipping the Pass. The middle should be poofy, but in a fun way (class III). As Ken would say, if you know what you're getting in to, feel free to join. But please post here so we know to look for you.

Thank you to Santa for bringing us rain. We must have been good!

Merry Christmas to all!

I can paddle on the 28th. I really want to paddle out west while I have the time off.
