Going up to the NRG this weekend. This IS "the" replacement for Webster Springs, but if that trip ends up at NRG I'm going to paddle based upon their schedule.

The "plan" looks something like this:

- Friday Mtn. Bike @ 5pm (meet at the park in Fayetteville), or if you are running late meet us at Pies and Pints @ 7:30

- Saturday NRG Paddle @ 11am, maybe a late afternoon bike

- Sunday NRG Paddle @ 9am

The NRG is 3.23 and dropping. Check it out here:

Staying at Ray's Campground:

Note: The highest level that I have run the NRG is 2' and although I have run it probably 8 times I don't know the lines that well. I am happy to go first - but if I go in a hole - don't take my line :)

This is the replacement for Webster Springs.

To be clear, for Saturday let's say we are going to leave the NRG Visitor's Center at 11:00 am. With this crew, as many can attest, you will be left.

Me and a couple of other Richmond guys are looking to get there late on Saturday night to do the Sunday morning paddle. Is the campground easygoing as we will be arriving around midnight?

I have heard people come in late at Ray's but I am not sure how it works. Give them a call and ask what the scoop is if you get there late.

Ray is cool, just stop by the office, if Ray or his wife are not there, just put your tent up and get straight with them in the morning.
