The second event of the year is scheduled for this Wednesday May 15. Registration will take place at about 5pm in the takeout parking lot, racing will start around 6pm. The level looks good for a boatercross warm up race through the riverrock course. The biggest difference will be that we don't care how long your boat is or what it is made of!!!!! All river craft are welcome. The prizes have arrived so if you won something in the first event please show up to grab that as well as compete. So far only 8 people have registered on the World Kayak Federation website, remember, if you are not registered you can not win a prize!!! Hope to see you all Wednesday evening.

The site will ask if you would like to pay $10 to be "ranked" at the end of the year. You do not need to pay this, you can still register for free. But, please register!!! Other locations have a much better number of registered competitors than Richmond. The number of registered competitors is one way that the WKF decides who gets what in terms of prizes, what this means is low numbers means low prizes and high numbers means better prizes.

Just in! Change in meeting place per Chris Craft
Hometown Throwdown event tomorrow evening.
If you have not registered on the world kayak page please do so.
We really need to show sponsors that we have an active community to improve our prizes!!
All prizes are in and we will be giving out the prizes from the last event as well as the event tomorrow.
If you can't make tomorrows event and have a friend that will be and you want them to pick up your swag please post here before 3pm.

The plan is to run a course through the fish ladder.
We will plan to have the first heat to go off at 6 pm.
So let's plan to meet at the ramp just above the canal by 5:45 pm
so that we can make that happen.

Again to be eligible for any swag you need to be registered here:
