Plan A as of the moment is to paddle the Dry fork:

http://www.americanwhitewater.org/conte ... l/id/2352/

Since it seems like a nice run to start the weekend, and it's more or less on the way to Albright.

There may be other options, depending on weather/water levels later in the week: Lost, Seneca creek, Hopeville, etc.

The backup plan would be set up camp, eat lunch, and run the Narrows.

Post up if you are interested. We'll try to check levels and finalize the plan Thursday evening.
:)

Thursday morning update: Dry Fork is 2.8' (AW says 3.0 is zero) , but with 1/2" of rain forecast. So if that happens, I think it should go. Think rain...

The late Thursday update: Dry fork is 2.78 and steady now, which might be a little low, or not. And its raining there. I'm game to try it at that level anyway. So if it's not any lower than that, thats where I'm headed.

Plan on meeting at the Post office in "downtown" Hendricks on rt 72 at around 12:30, and We'll figure it out from there.

39.075086, -79.631673 according to google maps.

I'm interested in joining you. If the canyon is below 13', I'd prefer that. LoYo is always good. Please keep me posted.

Last week we ran the Dry Fork twice plus Seneca, Hopeville, and others. All fine runs. Bob, I'm guessing you know your way around but sing out if you need any help with logistics.

Cheers,

Ken Dubel

Looks like the USACE thinks this rain will require a release from the Jennings Randolph Dam on the NB Potomac (Bloomington):

Normal recreational release is around 1000 cfs, I believe.
