Coastals

Mark and I are headed to Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground outside of Bryson City, NC for Labor Day weekend. We are meeting a friend there to visit, paddle, and bike and are planning to get there on Friday thru Monday. Anyone interested in joining us?

I realize that it is a long trip for most Coastals and its too early to even conjecture about rain, but it just doesn't look good for much rain, unless TS Danny decides to head up the eastern Appalacians - but I'm not holding my breath on that - with my luck, it'll head towards Texas and stick around there for a week or so. I have no idea as to what might be running outside of regular releases, but I am looking at class II - IV in and around the Bryson City / Asheville area.

I don't think I know y'all, but we're also headed down to Smoky Mountain Meadows looking to run some Class II-III stuff. We'll arrive late Friday night after work from Louisville. Raymond should be joining us Saturday evening for Sunday/Monday fun. We're thinking Tuck on Saturday, Nanty on Sunday, and hopefully Pigeon on Monday if it releases!!

Scott, i will be getting down there on Friday. I stay at Brookside campground. Hope to see you there.

Fantastic! Sounds like we've got a group of people to paddle this weekend. I'm looking forward to this.

Weather is looking like scattered thunderstorms / showers for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, so we will have some water from the sky.
