I'm a member from Ohio who has enjoyed paddling with Coastals many times. My family and I are going to be in Richmond this Saturday.

I've heard so much about the James from y'all that I'm hoping for a little Southern Hospitality. My son and I would like to paddle the Upper and I would like to paddle the Lower. We would be very grateful to anyone who would be our host. The more the merrier!

Welcome to RVA. Tom Wood here. I'm available to paddle Friday PM, anytime Saturday and we have a standing 11am group on Sunday. At current levels, the lower is solid class 3 with Hollywood & Pipeline perhaps a little more challenging at class 3+. We would require a minimum of 3 paddlers. The upper is class 2 all the way with some nice surfing possibilities, I will gladly show you and your son the way. cell# 804-690-3096, twh2o@comcast.net

Saturday is best, if we can work it out. We're driving in from Ohio on Friday and I'd like to attend church with my family on Easter Sunday, if possible. I'll phone.

Tom - If I can make the drive up from Hampton Roads in time, I'd like to try and join you guys. I had surgery 5 weeks ago and would like a couple of runs down the upper before getting back on the lower. Hope to make it.

Even though Ella and I plan to paddle only the upper we'll meet at 14th street. That will involve the least transfer of boats and if we don't shuttle to the top we'll park at Reedy on the way up. If you don't know me you'll recognize me by my white c-2 and my lovely 12 y.o. daughter.
