This area has been heavily impacted by the recent devastating floods. Club members will be volunteering to assist some of those victims on Friday prior to paddling. Please join us!

CHANGE: Ride FROM the Summer Meeting back toward Richmond
I am NOW looking for a ride after finishing the NRG on Sunday, either back all the way to Richmond or possibly just to Lewisburg WV (on I-64). Would be glad to share the gas. Please post or PM if you might have room.

New River Gorge July 23-24
The New River Gorge is Class III/IV. We will set shuttle at Ray’s Campground (1199 Sunday Rd, Hico, WV 25854) at 10am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday. Post here if you want to go. If you have limited experience running the Gorge, click on “PM” below and send me your phone number/email so we can communicate. This is joint trip with Coastals and Columbus Outdoor Pursuits from Ohio.
I've got a package of burgers and dogs (same quantity we actually ate at the last meeting) left over that I'm bringing for the cookout. If your name puts you in the main dish category please bring another category of your choice or consider bringing cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, or any other fixings you like. I'll bring buns.
Jon Dzielak
July 23 - 24
I will be there for trips on Saturday and Sunday, camping on Friday and Saturday nights.
Have not yet decided whether to do the Novice/Intermediate or the more advanced runs on either day.
Default option would be to go with the easier run unless I can convince myself that my skill level is up the Class IV stuff on this trip.
Looking forward to meeting and paddling with some new folks.

New River Meeting
I plan on camping Friday and Saturday nights
Will do Upper New on Saturday and TBD on Sunday depending on Gorge reports from Saturday.
Jon mentioned a name-based formula for the pot luck dinner. Can anyone share that or point me to the right place?
