OCT Roanoke River canoe camper 18-19-20 Nov

WE have water in the Roanoke, while other smaller rivers in eastern North Carolina are dry. So this gear-in-boat canoe camper will be done between Weldon and rt 258, approx. 30 miles over 3 days/ 2 nights. Meet at the boating access ramp at Weldon NC (east of I95, just off rt301) at 11am on Saturday morning. WE will drop gear there, run shuttle and paddle to the Tusco RRP campsite. Monday will be a short day on the water so you will be on the road early. Remember that you have to carry all food, water, etc.,.with you as there are no facilities along the river. Tom McCloud
