OCT - 43rd Annual Bill Gordon Lower Yough Oct. 26-27
Come join the longest consecutive running Coastals' Trip. Enjoy the beautiful western PA mountains.
The 43rd Annual Bill Gordon Lower Yough trip will be October 26th and 27th. There is no more 'Grassy Knoll' so we will meet Saturday morning at 10:00 in the parking lot by the falls in Ohiopyle.
It may be cold, so please dress accordingly. The Yough runs free until spring so launch tickets and shuttle tokens will not be necessary.
Please let me know if you are planning on attending. You may email, call (contact info in the roster) or send a message via the message board.
Please come willing to help with shuttle rather than doing your own thing. Be courteous of everyone on the trip.

Someone has already reserved the lower pavilion for the club.

Sejal and I will be there. Let us know meet time.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!
Lower Yough
I plan on joining you, at least for Saturday.
This will be my first time on the LY and could use some directions to the meet point on Saturday morning.

Hiya Bill.
Find your way to Ohiopyle. It's a tiny town so you can only get a little bit lost. The "grassy knoll" was / is a hill where private boaters would stage their crafts during shuttles. There has been construction going on so I don't know the new routine either. It sounds like the new meeting place is a wee bit upstream.
I don't know every rock but am happy to provide line advice if you wish.
You should definitely plan on two days of river running. Fun run.
Cheers,
Ken

I'll be there
I plan to paddle both Saturday and Sunday.
Early run Saturday?
Is anyone interested in an early run on Saturday? Maybe 8 or 9 AM. I'd like to catch at least part of the Ohio State/Wisconsin game. All I need is 1 or 2 other paddlers.
