O.C.T Bottom Tye 4/16/22

Post by GinnyN »

I'm down on the cruise schedule for a Bottom Tye or Piney/Tye trip this Saturday. I'm not thinking that the Piney will have enough water (at least 160 cfs in the Piney).

https://waterdata.usgs.gov/va/nwis/uv?s ... 0&period=7
We need 160 - 600 cfs combined of the above for the Tye. I expect that we will have that. probably.
It's either a 5 mile trip or a 10.5 mile trip depending on which take out people want to use.
It's a fun little class 2

meeting at the access at Tye River Depot (put inn) on this map http://goo.gl/maps/NtlFV to set shuttle.
You can check this website for other maps and such too http://www.nelsoncountyva.org/NelDRace/

The water is coolish – low 60’s.

Please contact me to let me know you're going.

I’m interested. Haven’t done the bottom. Have some scheduling to sort, but think I can make it

I just found out that the 10 mile option is not an option. We have lost the landowner's permission to take out at Ruckers Run.
