Update Saturday 7 A.M.

We'll run the Maury.
At the rate it’s dropping, it should be close to the level Ken ran last year (1.64 and 150 CFS).

Meet at Rockbridge Baths Post Office at 11:00.

The putin is Rockbridge Baths Post Office for the Maury; Locher Landing at Jarvis Trail, Glasgow, for Balcony. Unless there is something unusual in the weather forecast, we’ll meet at 11:00 a.m. at the putin to set shuttle.

This is a novice/intermediate level trip.

Make sure you don’t park in the Post Office parking areas.

Respond here or call/email if you plan to join us.

Raymond

I am planning to go as well. Either solo or tandem, will decide the craft choice closer to Saturday

Will keep eye on level. Looks like maybe some rain Thursday which would be good.

Been many years since I paddled this section. If we did not run the pass we would put in at "Indian Pool"

I guess that would put this into Intermediate run territory.

Thanks.

Don.

Currently, the Maury at Rockbridge Baths is at 1.73 feet and 182 CFS and dropping slowly. Last year, Ken ran a trip at 1.64 feet and 150 CFS. His notes say, “Good day, stuck once at Unpleasant, really tight and bumpy.” Earlier this year at 1.78 feet and 200 CFS, he has “pretty darn boney.”

At the rate it’s dropping, it should be close to the level Ken ran last year (1.64 and 150 CFS).

Balcony Falls is at a good level at 2.92 feet and 1070 CFS.

If the group wants to stick with the Maury at a low level, I’m game (unless it drops more than expected).

If not, I’m o.k. with Balcony.

Let me know if you have a preference.

I’ll make a final post Saturday before 7:15 a.m.. If anyone needs an early start to get on the road and wants me to call, just let me know and include your name and phone number.

I’m not going to make it this morning, regrettably. Have fun!
