I had scheduled a Rapidan trip for Saturday, but due to the lack of rainfall, the Rapidan will be too low to run.
So, I'm moving the trip to the James from New Canton to Columbia. It's 9-10 mile moving water run with a few riffles and maybe a class I or two. It's definitely suitable for beginners and even folks that don't have moving water experience. I haven't paddled this section yet but am wanting to check it off the list.
We'll meet at 10:30am with the location TBD based on how much interest there is. I'll make that call later this week. Bring a lunch and plan for a stop or two during the run.
