Gromit and I are in the neighborhood that day and would like a chance to paddle. Anyone else? Just say what time and we'll arrange to meet.

Better to run it Sunday. We have a group of about 40 boats ( not boaters) putting on about 10 on Saturday.

Actually, I'm considering running it both Saturday and Sunday, so thanks for the heads up. Wow, 40 boats? That's amazing.

We'll put in an hour before you on Saturday so as to be well ahead of your convoy, or we'll put in about noon.

Hey Will, I'm looking forward to paddling with you again. If you want to join us on Saturday you're always welcome. No newbies this trip, I promise :)

Can I come out and play, too? My first Coastals trip was with Andy Lee on this run late last summer or early fall and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My skills in my IK have improved since then (I think) and I've even gotten a real whitewater helmet. I'd love to meet the famous Wallace and Gromit!

If you are gonna paddle with the famous Wallace and Gromit, don't bother about a helmet or even a PFD. They will come rescue you as soon as you flip. Hell, don't even bring a boat. Just jump in!

Slow your roll there Syracuserony!!! Gromit and I usually pick our paddling partners for their ability to rescue US. Well, me

RangeRon -- and anyone else -- you're welcome to paddle with us whenever you like. We look forward to meeting you, and to our first trip with Andy. Just show up Sunday, 10am at the Glasgow put-in.

Brian Dutoi contacted me to carpool from Charlottesville Sunday morning. We'll be meeting in the Belmont neighborhood between 7:30 and 7:45. I've got room in the minivan for another passenger, boat and gear, if anyone else wants to join us.

We're looking forward to being on the river with this nice group!

Man, when the Wallace's come out of Richmond the paddlers start coming out of the woodwork, eh? We've got most of the state represented, all we need is a tidewater paddler and a south side paddler to make it a full house. There's a lot of talent showing up for this event, but Joe Wilson still has a lock on greatest number of boats on Balcony at one time....so what do you call 40 boats anyway? Is it a fleet, flock, herd, gaggle, covey, convoy, cavalcade, bevy, quiver, mess (as in "that's sure one purdy mess of boats ju got thar"- (sorry Shawn, couldn't resist)

"...40 boats - not boaters..." I'd call that 'Crowded" or a 'headache'. :)
