Scott and I are going to do the community service and see what up with the log today. Might be able to get a couple of rides before my hands freeze sold.

See I?m a pogie guy and they work pretty well to keep my hands warm. This is until they are submerged in freezing water continually.

I?ve got a pair and think they would work well for most play spots. But for Z-Dam I want to keep in good contact with paddle, i.e. hand on paddle.julesagogo wrote:Forget it - wormy was much more interesting. You oughta look into heater mitts for park and play. Toasty warm.

Z dam Z drag
so for those of you interested in hoing your wilderness rescue techniques....if the log is an issue....Z drag at the z-dam...biggest issue would be making a quick release sheep shank or something so if the log does come loose the rope could be recovered.....
if not how is the play with the new feature?

I would say at the level last night (5.7ft) it has changed quite a bit. As Shaw said it is still fun, but now it?s more a wave and better for front surfing. The big change is that there is almost no Hydraulic or backwash. If you flip or catch an edge you?ll come right off the play feature. I would consider it a change for the worse and now I?m wondering of how to remove the new tree.dweasel wrote:It definately seems to have changed it some. the green tongue on sufers right is a bit more flushy. And the eddy is kinda screwed up too.
Still fun though, until you can't feel them that is.
Missed you out there Julie, guess your were just giving us crap last night.
