any interest in running the appomattox tomorrow or wed., river is about 4.7 with the upstream gauge (mattox) still rising

What time were you looking to hit the river? I might be able to wrangle an early afternoon tomorrow...

I might want to make a run with you, I've never run it before. What's it like for first timers? I was planning on running the lower James today, but I'm just wondering what the it's is like? Let me know what time you're planning to run it

mwwilson, if you were going to do the lower today, the app at 5ft would about the same, target rock would get your attention, i have left the time up to s2welee, i can go at any time but would take me about two hours to get there

anything over 5ft you need more than two people, it might start dropping after lunch because the upper gauge has started dropping (water should be going over chesdan dam now), we can check tomorrow morning

I could only do an early morning run. I have something to do at 11 tommorow morning. Let me know

it's about a 3 hour run down, we would have had to put on at 8 to get off the river by 11, maybe next time, i doubt that the river will hold the water until sat

I don't know what the minimum is that you will tolerate, but if you are interested in trying this weekend I would really like to run this soon. Let me know, I could arrange to do Saturday at 1 or anytime Sunday.

the mattoca gauge has to be above 3ft to be considered, i would like it to be above 3.5ft, if you look to the gauge now it dropped 1ft in a day, the water will not be there on sat, sorry

maybe with next weeks rain, and chesdan dam is now full, it shouldn't take much
