Pipeline of Lower J ?

Post by topheavy »

I'm itching to paddle, and my boat's already strapped to my car. Anyone want to play at pipeline or run the lower? Is there anything at pipeline at this level? I could be at 14th st a little before 5, or anytime after.

Monday, hiked up to fish ladder, there was at least a boat width channel, Hootie Hoo. 3.02'/ 340cfs. Bunches of little eddies and extremely small features for a beginner to practice. Actually a pretty good little run.

Don't have to worry about getting stuck in a side surf at pipeline. The ledge in front of the line up eddy resembled a water feature I once saw in a dentist office, thin white line of bubbles. Lots of rocks from center to surf left. If you haven't been wet in a while, enough water for that.

Then again, todays flow is almost 75% greater.

Have fun, be safe
