Lower Gauley SUNDAY
Gromit and I are hoping to rope someone into guiding us on the LG on SUNDAY 9/20. Hopefully someone who knows which rapid is which and what to do with it. Anyone who bites will be rewarded with our undying gratitude! Thanks!

Re: Lower Gauley SUNDAY
Back when Guy and Jug were but wee little tots and KessmanN took them down for their first times on Karls Sue's trip, all of the rapids were called Heaven's Gates. Unfortunatley, the rapids have gotten new names since then.... and Guy and Jug have grown up.Wallace wrote:Hopefully someone who knows which rapid is which and what to do with it.

Envelope – Free stationary taken from the Marriott while on a business trip.
Snowflake address label – sent to me free and had to be used up.
Stained glass stamp – It was more then three feet away from me when I decided to get them so you know I didn’t see them clearly
Butterfly and Sunflower stickers on the back – Also free and required because the glue on the envelope was so old it no longer stuck.

I too remember that... I swamed. Darn those people in rubber running over kayakers......guy66 wrote:I remember it like it was yesterday...Dave K's Agent wrote:Back when Guy and Jug were but wee little tots and KessmanN took them down for their first times on Karls Sue's trip, all of the rapids were called Heaven's Gates. (I also remember following KesmanN through the first rapid then he took off while I was still in line to play in the hole. I was then relegated to following Karla Sue and the Queen down the rest of the trip...) Be careful all, sometimes he doesn't count all his ducklings. Things were much better when he took me down the UY as there was a no show so there was only one duckling to keep track of....
Sorry for the jack, I think I'll be on the upper Sunday, then again Monday to watch the race with you all...

You must not have gotten too far behind 'cause you told me you ran Heaven's Gates three or four times with me that day.
