Cowpasture river
Anyone know of a camping spot on the Cowpasture? Looking for a fishing weekend in some flatwater or Cl 1. Spot on river, tent camping, fire, etc. Thanks in advance.

campsite on Cowpasture
There are three options:
1. between Clifton Forge and Millboro Springs there is a sign for GW Nat Forest access on Route 42; I think it directs you down state route 631, which has campsites and river access.
2. There is camping and river access on river left where state route 627 crosses the Cowpasture south of Williamsville; this is also GW Nat Forest
3. There are several campsites on FR 282 about a mile south of Williamsville off state route 678; these frequently fill up on the weekend.
