I'm a rookie kayaker, I've been paddeling canoe for 20+ years, but just got my kayak, only have had it the water twice
At the present water level, do you think it would it be to much for me?

Hello vajd,

If you can roll your kayak, then downtown maybe an option at 6 feet given your 20+ years of paddling experience. If you can not roll in whitewater, then maybe an upper trip is more your speed, is usually the rule. But with the right group, you will probably be fine even if you swam downtown. The weather is warm, the water is not freezing anymore, and 6 feet of water provides some padding on the rocks that are trouble at 4.5 ft.
