2013 Webster Springs

Post by Dave K »

We had 8 on the Back Fork of the Elk on Saturday.

Some paddled the Elk proper on Saturday:

The pot luck Saturday night did not disappoint. Thanks to Shaggy for bringing the kitchen.

We had 8 on the Upper Meadow at 1500 cfs on Sunday.

It was a great weekend.

Lovely week end, Webster did not disappoint.... I was guaranteed "Fun" and that is what I had, thanks Shaggy for shuttling us around, all over Gods green acre. Beautiful rivers, spring time just budding out, sweet water to fill those rivers, good food for the soul and a "fun" group of paddlers. Thanks!

It was a great weekend of fun, water, weather and food. As always it was great meeting and paddling with new folks (Tristan, Raymond and Katheryn) too.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!

Awesome weekend! Great to meet some new folks on such a beautiful couple of days on the water--and what better way for Jackie to break in the new Ru than on that crazy shuttle run. Can't wait til the next one!
