Just wanted to say thanks to Bruce, Shannon, and Dee for a great day on the upper. This was my crew's first trip out this year and we really needed to shake off the cobwebs. Met at Reedy Creek and got shuttle going soon to be on the water.
Weather turned out to be great, and the water level ok (a bit high as lots of the fun pinball action in Mitchell's Gut was washed out). Started with a fun slide down the steps at PP into the friendly James, and progressed with a shakedown of getting the feel of the old Diesel again. No real carnage on the river but my buddy Paul had a slip on the rocks getting in his new OC1. No blood yay.
My buddy Dan got a chance to help a buddy out in our school district. He is putting videos together for excercise classes (like moutain biking, hiking, etc) so a Hero helmet cam was used to make one for paddling. Hope it comes out great.
Had a good time at Crossroads after paddling. Lots of beer choices and the sandwiches were good too.
Again it was great to meet the other paddlers and will be back soon to get some more water time before heading up to the Lehigh later in the month.
