The current weather conditions and Moormans River level brings back memories of paddling with Dave in the aftermath of a hurricane in September years ago. Dave is gone now and I can't paddle it anymore.
I hope someone familiar with the Moormans, will lead a trip so others may have memories like me of the Moormans, a Scenic River, in the rare condition of water and warm weather. We ran it for three days.
I also have memories of the upper Moormans, my only true creek run, led by Richard Walters.
Today is Tuesday, take off from work if you have to, as the river runs out in about three days.

I do love the moormans and I live in Scottesville I remember Dave and paddling with him. I haven’t been as active paddling lately with kids and family obligations but am looking to make a return this spring. I’ll be posting whenever I’m free to run the moormans. Look me up
