Eighteen boaters on the LJ at 3.97 feet 11/5

Let us know how it went! Swim confessions and carnage reports are welcome, but it's not fair to tell on your buddies!

Eighteen boaters on the LJ at 3.97 feet 11/5

Post by jules »

Wow, and that doesn't include seeing four other boaters who weren't paddling. A dry hair day for HVNORL and his new paddle; always good to see W&G. Mike and Emily stopped by after their hike in the mountains. Watched last year's Green Race from the comfort of Guy's living room.
Kessmann, Guy, Shawn, Scooter, Shawn Creasey, Shrek, Juggy, Russ, Rob, Joel, Mike Keith, Jacob, Wallace, Gromit, Matt Diamon, Alex, Jim, Julie. nonpaddlers: Mark Canada, Mike, Emily, Jen

My favorite times on the river are when a bunch of people show up unexpectedly. It has more of a sponateaous kind of party feel. Tell Joel to keep coming back, he'll get it. I think I'll buy my own copy of the Green Race Movie. If you haven't seen it, you should. I want to give a shout out to Shaggy. He's out of action after knee surgery, and was nice enough to come down and run shuttle for us. Thanks, Bro! That was definitely a pro move.

You're welcome, it was good seeing all those happy and familar faces, including Kessmann's (not angry). :D

It was fun. Joel will be back after some more time in his new playboat and roll practice - what a trooper! Thanks for the shuttle Shagster - you rock. About the time you're getting in your boat I'll be going out for carpal tunnel surgery.

Learning that you haven't been able to boat lately made me angry.

It was a big time. Thanks, Scooter for rearranging your schedule to come out Sunday instead of Saturday as planned. I know now that you have a job, your time is limited.

Think that was the most boaters I have ever seen on a sub 4' run :) Pray for rain!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Wallace and Shaggy for the shuttle hook up. Nothing better than having the fully loaded Corn Wagon in hot pursuit either.

Good to see that formerly unemployed guy ???? that had just wrestled his new Riot away from the homeless folks at the Greyhound station too. Bound to be good for some "pro move" points from Angry Dave.

The new boat looks pretty nice from the bridge, but he didn’t throw any ends like I asked.

Thanks for the shout-out Gromit.

it was a master plan by MS agogo to muster all the splinter groups and create a mass flotilla. Great to meet new folks and paddle with old river buddies. couoldn't ask for much more the weather was the best autumn has to offer and the river not yet cold.
let's do it again

Thanks everyone for being so nice and yes, I will be back after I get some more time in my boat. The roll is coming along, what a relief!
