Combat Roll Clinic at Pipeline Rapid

Available Dates: May 23, June 13 and June 28

So, you've learned a roll in a pool but arenít confident you will be able to roll reliably in moving water...
Come out and learn some tips and tricks to transition that pool roll into a solid combat roll!
Gain confidence as you practice your combat rolls in the moving whitewater and holes of Pipeline Rapid and have a lot of FUN doing it!

Goals:
1. Increase your safety and comfort level under water.
2. Improve your existing roll and hip snap.
3. Build confidence in your roll in moving water.

Topics to be covered:
1. Safe and protected positions
2. Underwater composure and confidence
3. Timing the roll
4. Rolling in wavetrains
5. Rolling on eddy lines
6. Rolling in holes (hydraulics)

Logistics:
When : 5:45pm - 8:30pm
Where: Meet at the 14th street takeout and walk up the pipe
Class Size: Limited to 3 students to keep a high instructor to student ratio.
Cost: Coastals Members - $45 / per student/ per class Minus $5 if ACA member)
Non-Coastals - $55 / per student/. Per class ,Minus $5 if ACA member

What to bring:
your 5 essentials:
Whitewater kayaks with floatation
spray skirt
paddle
helmet
PFD
suitable footwear & clothing for the river and temperature, food, water and whatever else you may need.

Prerequisites:
Must be comfortable with wet exit and T- rescues.
I encourage you to join the Coastal Canoeists and the ACA.
