Alicia - Thanks for organizing a great day on the river. Great time was had by all. Weather was a perfect mid-80s w no humidity and clear skies. The water was just high enough for a full day of fun with just a little bit of bony-ness. Thanks for sharing your experience on the best lines for balcony falls. Many thanks to all of the paddlers who made a new family to Coastal feel welcome and included. Special thanks to Allen, Richard, and Dave who have become our steady paddling partners this summer. Not sure, but I think Stacy gets the "Furthest Traveled Award" for this paddle as she came from Raleigh, NC. I think Dave gets the "Oldest/Coolest" Boat Award for his vintage fiberglass ride. So interesting to see all of the different boats, boat types and hull designs. Each offering a nuanced joy and glide for different parts of the river.

We look forward to many more adventures with the club... spray skirts are on order... for even more uninterrupted fun.

Thank you for organizing this run. They can say this section is no fun down at 1000 cfs (4.3'), but I disagree. It can be a blast if you take the time to enjoy it! It was nice to see so many big water paddlers mixing in with us smaller rapid paddlers too.
