Pipeline rescue at dark last night?

Let us know how it went! Swim confessions and carnage reports are welcome, but it's not fair to tell on your buddies!

In Pipeline, a boater experienced a flip below 3rd drop, attempted several rolls and exited their kayak below Junkyard. The boater injured their knee during the wet exit or swim. First aid was rendered on a mid-river rock and boater was helped off the river. Additional first aid and joint immobilization was provided at the takeout. Boater was transported to hospital for definitive care and released. A full and complete recovery is expected within the next couple weeks. All of the above was performed by boaters with no involvement of professional rescue personnel.
Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke
