OCT Balcony Falls 6/7/25

This past Saturday Raymond coordinated a fantastic trip on the Balcony Falls section of the James. Participants Ken, Bill S., Bill H., Bill C., John, Pete, and myself all enjoyed the lovely level - the Buchanan gauge read 1570cfs (3.46ft) with an added 344cfs from the Maury. We learned, courtesy of Pete, that Balcony Falls is named for the rock formation that overlooks the rapid. Ken and I also spotted a bald eagle at the start of our lake paddle. A fun time was had by all. Thank you Raymond for coordinating!
