OCT Lower Gauley First Timers Trip, 9/26-27

Post by Mango »

Giggles and I will be heading up the LGFT Trip on 9/26-27.

We are planning on staying at Summersville Lake Retreat, we will verify that this weekend while we are at Gauleyfest.

There has been some suggestion that some may want to do the NRG on Sunday. We will see what the group wants to do and decide then. But, for right now it is LG both days.

Plan is to meet at Summersville Lake Retreat at 11am, Saturday 9/26, and run shuttle from there.

If you are interested in joining the trip, contact me at:

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW What a ride! . . . . . Trying to live up to this, Priceless. As long as you have good insurance!

Verified, Mangles are staying at Summersville Lake Retreat. They have plenty of space left if you would like to get a campsite. 1 888 872-5580

Saturday, High of 76, Times of clouds and sun, Possible Showers in the evening, Low 58
Sunday, High: 74, Considerable cloudiness with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm, Low 56

Wade and I have reserved 3 sites at Summersville Lake Retreat. Site Number 47,48,49
See map: http://www.summersvillelakeretreat.com/SLR-Map.pdf

The sites are spacious enough to allow for several tents both large and small, the occupancy limit is 8 persons or less and no more than two vehicles per site. The rate is $10 per person per night

Thus far we have 3 vehicles.

As of Sunday they also had sites 33-38 available

looking forward to see you all there.

Shag, how come you can make it up for Waaaade's trip but not mine?

 >>>>

Real cool.

If you make Juggy stop at Meadow Beach on the UG, it will make it up to me a little.

Dear Dave,

I’m sorry you feel hurt and neglected; sometimes I do paddle on trips that yooou didn’t plan. I truly missed not being able join you all last weekend. :( I hope you can forgive me and we can paddle together in the near future. What’s the deal with Meadow Beach? Will you be attending Wade’s trip :?:

Not true.

I had a big time on your Off the Grid UG P-R-O Gauley Fest Sunday trip which you did a wonderful job organizing except for when you ran over that boat.

Ouch... :!:
Envelope – Free stationary taken from the Marriott while on a business trip.
Snowflake address label – sent to me free and had to be used up.
Stained glass stamp – It was more then three feet away from me when I decided to get them so you know I didn’t see them clearly
Butterfly and Sunflower stickers on the back – Also free and required because the glue on the envelope was so old it no longer stuck.
