I got me some peanut oil. Are you and/or the family coming?????
Envelope – Free stationary taken from the Marriott while on a business trip.
Snowflake address label – sent to me free and had to be used up.
Stained glass stamp – It was more then three feet away from me when I decided to get them so you know I didn’t see them clearly
Butterfly and Sunflower stickers on the back – Also free and required because the glue on the envelope was so old it no longer stuck.

If you got room for my 215# booty and I won't make it too sluggish I'll jump, I mean gently slip in. Or if someone else speaks up that's ok too.

2 questions

I know what your thinking, here we go again, but I've held off untill 12 hours before departure and let 4 pages slip away. Give me credit, among other things, I have self-control issues.

Dave K, the first is regional so your off the hook, unless you just want to add something.

I do as little I driving as possible and avoid DC metro. I was thinking 95 to 17 (4 lanes usually flows well) to Winchester. Then 522, which is a divided 4 lane untill WV line. Then pick up 68 west. Never been on 522 though. Finally, here's the first.

1. How do most folks travel from Richmond?

2. Is the Y bottom fed Nanty cold or over the top warm?

There's a sweet shortcut through WV that Dave Stockdill told us about last year. I won't confuse you with the details now. But you shoudl try it for the trip home.

1. From Winchester it is a full 25 min. faster (if you drive the speed limit of 50. I go 60 & get passed a lot) to take 127 off of 522. Go thru PawPaw to Cumberland.

2. Expect H2O temp in the mid 60s

Don't forget 2 things

#1 on 127 take the first right after crossing the cacapon river. beware the one lane bridge.

#2 do not speed thru Paw Paw

#C They will lynch you in these parts if they detect the commie pinko liberal pheromones your body emits.

#D You can pee at the port a john at the Paw Paw tunnel just past the bridge over the Potomac or just use the parking lot if you are alone.

The 127 shortcut is fantastic but two-lane, wind-y and hilly - for those of you hauling stuff like trailers.

I'm bringing extra my-size dry stuff. The water will be COOOOOLD, but the forecast has improved quite a bit - low 40, high 55/60, rain only Friday - YAY! http://www.google.com/search?q=weather+ohiopyle%2C+pa Maybe the rain will bring the river up a bit: http://www.americanwhitewater.org/conte ... l_id_1687_ might be more funner.

Guy has faith in me went ahead and confused me with all the shortcut details. Little skeptical about the boat ramp and one lane bridge thouogh. Besides, I travel with a considerable library of Gazetteers from that fine ME based company, Delorme Mapping Co.

i may be bringing phatbaby with. which means if there are going to be any non-kayaking people tagging along up there who wouldn't mind babysitting during the day, i will certainly make it worth their while.

otherwise, i have hard boat permit for 10am sunday that i won't be using if anyone needs it (that would also free up on of Julie's permits for sat as well).
