Mike has spent a bunch of time working with www.worldkayak.com to get this event off the ground. Come on out and be gentle on him :D

Reports of rif raf from the Potomac looking to throw down on the 804 crew?

PS If you know how to score a looky loo/ Mc Donalds/Columbini combo move please let Mike know ASAP!

We missed you out there Karl!

Eleanor Perry and Tino Specht from Team Dagger brought the kids from Huge/ New River Academy down and scored the event/rides.

The Wav crew was rockin' their mobile grill cranking out burgers at Z dam too :D

Great turn out for Mikes first Worldkayak event! Be on the look out for the next one in May.

Great event Mike! Wasn't able to compete because I neither have the skills nor the boat to play at Z-dam, but I really enjoyed watching the 804 crew throw down. To top it all off, my wife insisted on going and had a great time! She's even thinking about giving whitewater paddling a try again.

Thanks for organizing the throwdowns! I look forward to the rest of the events this year and next year's. Hopefully by then I will have picked up a play boat and just enough skills to get a severe thrashing!!! :D
Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke

Thanks Mike it was a lot of fun!!!

I can't wait to see the results, I think I came in second place in the "seniors" division!
Envelope – Free stationary taken from the Marriott while on a business trip.
Snowflake address label – sent to me free and had to be used up.
Stained glass stamp – It was more then three feet away from me when I decided to get them so you know I didn’t see them clearly
Butterfly and Sunflower stickers on the back – Also free and required because the glue on the envelope was so old it no longer stuck.

And who is the top senior?

Sounds like a lot of fun was had. I would have driven in to watch but the wife has put me under a “No driving in Richmond” rule (still wearing a hard brace on my neck).

Did someone take video?

It's getting to be that way. But the really good news is that short, fat, and bald is the new hot 8)
