Lower James 11/8 Saturday 7 am? CHANGE TO 2 PM?

Post by Paddle Daddy »

Looks like my only available time for the weekend. Who's going? Post or pm.

UPDATE: OK, my teenager now needs me to drive her somewhere Sat morning. How about 2 pm? Please post or pm.

I'm there - just gotta flush the leaves out of my boat after the hike out of the Green River gorge! :D
Generally, I think that if I have the opportunity to paddle, and I've got something else to do or I feel like I shouldn't go for some reason, then I force myself to go and I always have a great time. So, I guess when in doubt -- Go, Paddle. -- Tommy Hilleke

If someone has a sprayskirt (medium/large tunnel- large cockpit) I can borrow then I will see you all at 7. My sprayskirt is still at the manufacturer's for repairs.

What?? 7 a.m. is the time. Be there or be square. We are suppose to be getting this out of the way before the days chores start.

AM vs PM

Post by Paddle Daddy »

You know I tend to the am but this week I can't.

I'm still looking for any afternooners.

I'm up for a Saturday run!! I would also enjoy the nice wonderfulness of sleeping in so if you're running in the afternoon I'm way excited about it! (Chores can get done on Sunday...or next weekend...or the weekend after that)

Are we meeting at 1pm or 2pm?

Also I have an extra skirt for whoever needed one.

I'm still in for Sat @ 7am

Post by slo2rol »

YOAD - I'll still be there on Sat @ 7am. Bring Pete's slack butt w/ you since he missed the trip to the Green

PaddleDaddy - No way that I can do 2pm - so we'll have to catch up another weekend.

Afternoon fits my schedule too...

Post by thisendup »

YOAD, slo2rol, and the rest of my early morning friends,

Although I truly enjoy early mornings on the river with you guys :D , an early afternoon paddle fits the family schedule even better. (Sydney's nap time...) I'll catch ya'll soon.

PADDLEDADDY,

Count me in. Still 1400, right?

Still in for the pm

Post by Paddle Daddy »

You early birds - stop hurting my feelings. Mean people suck.

So do teenagers who "forget" to tell you that you have to drop them off somewhere at 9 am!!

So yes, I'll be there at 1400.

No hero stories here... the hike out is a dead giveaway that I didn't run the Narrows (since the Fishtop t/o for the gnars is right at the river). The t/o for the Upper Green, however, is a nice 0.7mile uphill w/ a boat on your shoulder - but well worth the hike! I'll put a trip report in the appropriate forum, so check over there for more...
