There's a brief surge headed to Richmond

It just cruised through Scottsville. Apparently a lot of the rain in Nelson County washed through the Rockfish, entering the James below Balcony but above Scottsville.

The James peaked sharply at about 4,000 cfs there. I have no idea what that will look like by the time it hits Richmond but am guessing it will be an improvement.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be paddling Friday after work, leaving 14th Street around 5:30. Anybody else?

And now it's in Richmond.

I would have expected the curve to flatten out more on the graph.
