Looks like it will be over 9', so Daniel is going to sit this one out. I'll see you at 7, and since I don't drink I'll be there 110%. Unless I change my mind.

Hmm, which boat shall I take?

Jeep-
If you want to run just the upper it shouldn't be an issue, as you will be able to drop off your vehicle or shuttle from Reedy to your vehicle. If the level is over 9', then I'm sure others will also not want to run the lower.

10 feet on the Lower James has a reputation. This is the level that took the lives of Garland Reese and Karen Abse, both at the same location, Hollywood. The reason is at this level the trees that have been lifted by the river tend to collect in the flow in the rock island just downstream of the main drop.
This area needs to be scouted well before running it. After a high water event a tree pile cleaning activity is usually in order.

I plan on running the Upper James a couple of times (in different boats) if you are interested.

James this morning

With the guage reading right at 10', I am pretty sure all who have responded about this early run are planning to do the Upper only. Let's still meet at 14th street but we are going to head up pretty quick to drop off as many vehicles as we can at Reedy and then head up to PP.
